Workshop delivered by The Bike Foundry
This Bike basics maintenance workshop is all about giving you an understanding of how your bike should function, so you can identify when something is wrong and start repairing problems yourself. We’ll cover the ‘M’ check for safety, discuss the part names and functions, replace inner tubes and perform puncture repairs and then set up and adjust a set of brakes. At the end of this course you should have the confidence to diagnose some of the most common issues we can face with our bikes and understand the names and functions of all the parts.
All courses are taught in small groups with plenty of hands-on time. You will need to bring your own bike to work on. This course is ideal for someone with little or no experience of bicycle mechanics who wants to learn how to look after their own bike.
