World Car Free Day – Commuter Rides

Thursday 22nd September

Cities across the globe will celebrate World Car-Free Day on Thursday 22nd September, people are encouraged to give up their cars for a day. The event highlights the numerous benefits of going car-free including reduced air pollution and the promotion of walking and cycling in a safer environment.

You are invited by ecobirmingham to celebrate world car day by bike! Make the commute count and join us for Bike Breakfast Club at Gorilla Coffee in Brindley Place between 7.15 – 9am. Arriving by bike you will start the day with a smile and qualify for a discount on your morning coffee and pastry… Win, win!

Join a group commuter ride!

This is a great opportunity to meet new people and build your confidence while riding as a group, learn new bike friendly routes and get tips/advice from other riders. Expect a fun, stress free ride into the City Centre as a group, relaxed pace, no body gets left behind. Everyone welcome!

These are social rides, participants are responsible for themselves. We ask people to ride responsibly, give way to pedestrians on shared paths and follow the Highway Code. We recommend bringing water, a rain jacket just in case and if you have them a spare inner tube, tools and pump.
