Led Ride – Saturday 13th August

Meeting at Gorilla Coffee Cafe, 6 Brindley Place, B1 2JB

from 9.45am

Circular Route finishing back at Gorilla Coffee Cafe – approx. 1pm

Leaving promptly at 10am the ride will be approx. 15 miles exploring a great bike friendly route. Using canals, cycle paths, shared paths through some of the city’s wonderful green spaces and a few quiet roads to connect the route together.

We are very excited to this route with you all as part of the launch of our 69wards cycle route project sharing bike friendly routes across the city enabling people to choose active travel more often.

The ride starts and finishes at Gorilla Coffee Cafe, Brindleyplace and is part of our pop up cycling event. A fantastic day of all things cycling and social – from general bike chat, route finding, bike maintenance and free bike checks.

This ride will be led by qualified ride leaders and is suitable for all abilities. Recommended for ages 10 years plus or those able to cope with the distance. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult and must wear a helmet.

As on all our group rides, the pace will be gentle, nobody will get left behind.

Things to remember:

  • You will need a bike to take part in the ride. If required bike hire is available from West Midlands Cycle Hire  or Brompton Bike Hire docks of both can be found at the meeting point. Plan ahead, register on the apps before the event and allow plenty of time to join the ride.

  • Bring plenty of water & snacks

  • Dress for the weather – Layers/water proof jacket are a good idea and easily removed if you get too warm. If its a sunny day remember to bring suncream.

  • Money for refreshments pre or post ride.
