FREE Community Repair and Swap cafe in Sparkhill

Repair & Share Hub at the Springfield Project

Join us for the launch of our new Repair & Share Hub at the Place of Welcome, Springfield Project — a friendly community session where you can bring clothing or small tech items that need repair, refresh your wardrobe through our Honesty Swap Rail, share skills and meet local people.

By repairing, reusing and swapping items instead of replacing them, you can save money, reduce waste and help keep valuable resources out of landfill.

What to Expect

At the Repair & Share Hub, you can:

  • Bring clothes or textile items for simple repairs
  • Bring small tech items for repair by Repair Wins
  • Bring clothes to swap on the Honesty Swap Rail – help yourself to a new swap! (we do not take donations)
  • Share skills and learn from others
  • Meet your local community in a relaxed, welcoming space

Whether it’s a favourite jumper with a missing button, a small household item that needs fixing or a laptop that’s stopped working, we will try and help you give it a second life and share skills with you, please bring them along!

All tech repairs will be delivered by Repair Wins.

Booking Information

This session is completely FREE and funded through the Building Greener Communities project – helping local residents live more sustainably through practical skills, community connection and climate-friendly activities.

Please book where possible so we can prepare the right tools, equipment and support for your repair needs. Book HERE and fill in the diagnostic form for your item.

Walk-ins are also welcome on the day and all repairs will be available on a first come, first served basis regardless of ticket. If you are bringing several items, we may ask you to prioritise the key item so others get a chance to join the queue.

Please note that due to limited time and as a charity funded service, we may not be able to get round to everyone’s repairs and we cannot guarantee that we can repair the item you bring.

More Repair & Share Hub sessions are planned for Autumn 2026 — watch this space! If you are interested in volunteering your skill and would like to get involved in future sessions, please let us know!
