Four women, two cargo bikes…

We are living in a Climate emergency. The planet is heating up fast, with 2019 being the second warmest year on record. Effects from higher temperatures include poor air quality, negative crop production, more than 1 million animals facing extinction and an increase of infectious diseases. The greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions we generate from things like transport, burning fossil fuels and intensive farming are all contributing to high levels of CO2 in our atmosphere and causing the earth’s rapidly changing climate.

This weekend we are looking forward to the premiere of The Adventure Syndicates’ new film Resolution Race. The film follows four women riding 1000km on two cargo bikes over six days to highlight climate change. You can register for the premiere showing at 7pm on Saturday 7 November on Vimeo HERE.
Everyone can get involved and do their bit to help prevent the effects of climate change – and you don’t need a cargo bike! Get on your bike this weekend and have some fun at the same time by downloading the Match The Miles App on Google Play or the App Store .

You will be asked to plan your own cycle route and go somewhere new. There are no limits on the distance cycled, just be home by dark. To make it more fun there ate a set of themed challenges to complete during your ride.

Sneak peek at some of the challenges in the app.
