2023/24 Impact Report Highlights

Check out some highlights from the last year.

Together we are creating a sustainable city via transport, food, energy, education and advice. The ecobirmingham team are super excited to share our latest Impact Report and what we got up to over 2023/24:

  • We are proud to have worked with over 74 organisations, delivering events and activities in 39 wards across Birmingham.

  • Directly helping 3,073 beneficiaries, providing help and inspiration for them to live more sustainably.
  • Our active travel team launched the 69 wards walking and cycling routes, which were picked up and promoted nationally by Visit Britain. Encouraging people to think about the way they travel by highlighting existing infrastructure, greenspaces, key public transport links as well as great places to visit.

  • The creative learning team have been busy inspiring young minds and delivering mini adventures in nature through our outdoor holiday clubs, Stories for Nature sessions and interactive workshops in the community. This included a programme of 24 sessions at the Springfield Project’s Mini Springers’ nursery in Sparkhill and 12 autumn/winter sessions with a nursery in Bordesley, part of the SOS Education project.
  • We also successfully piloted our sustainability advice service to individuals/organisations and are looking forward to launching our 3-year, Building Sustainable Communities programme with Allens Cross and the Springfield Project where we will continue to deliver food, energy and active travel activities.

A huge thank you for all of the support, value, perspectives, wisdom, passion and creativity from our volunteers, staff, trustees, funders, partners, friends and participants.

Together we can make Birmingham a greener, fairer and healthier place to live. There are many ways to support our work. By volunteering, becoming a friend, supporting us with a donation, leaving a legacy gift in your will, booking us for a training session, attending an event or joining us as a member of staff.

Donations from people like you are essential to ensure we can continue our important work for Birmingham and its residents.
