Why Meat-Free Mondays Matter

Kam Bola, CEO of ecobirmingham, shares:

“We’re inviting Springfield staff and service users to join us in making one small change: participating in Meat-Free Monday. By choosing plant-based meals just one day a week, you can make a positive impact on your health and the environment. It’s a simple yet powerful way to contribute to a better future.”

The Benefits of Reducing Meat

🌱 For Your Health
Eating less meat – particularly red and processed meat – can help reduce the risk of heart disease, certain cancers, and other chronic health conditions. More plant-based meals mean more fibre, vitamins, and variety in your diet.

🌍 For the Planet
Meat production is resource-intensive and contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and water use. Choosing meat-free meals helps reduce your carbon footprint and supports a more sustainable food system
