The Invisible Superheroes

At ecobirmingham, our trustees are an integral part of our organisation. Even though we may not see them every day, they drive our mission forward and help us strategically and operationally. They help us when we have to make difficult decisions and hold us accountable for ensuring we are meeting our charity objectives.

We value and appreciate the work of trustees who give up their time to support our mission in making Birmingham a place that is greener, fairer and healthier through the practices of sustainability.

Our board of trustees come from a range of diverse backgrounds, varied industries and disciplines. They bring a fresh perspective to the work we do, support our organisations mission and meet regularly during the financial year.

As a small charity, the support of trustees is invaluable, we don’t always have the expertise on hand, or the funds to pay for advice.  Our Board of trustees come from varied professional backgrounds including finance, safeguarding, marketing and business development. We appreciate and value the added experience and knowledge they provide to us as a charity, volunteering their time outside of their normal working hours to support us.

Kathy, Vive Chair of trustees at ecobirmingham. She told us she strongly supports environmental and sustainable work in Birmingham
Helen, trustee at ecobirmingham and part of the Finance Committee sharing her thoughts on why she volunteers her time to a sustainable charity.
Arshdeep, ecobirmingham trustee and on the People and Impact Committee. Shares her thoughts about why she joined the charity.

Our trustees are the invisible superheroes behind our work and we would like to thank all our trustees, present and past. We wouldn’t be here without the care and compassion that you have given to our charity mission! The time, effort and energy you put it on a regular basis is very much appreciated.

We are currently recruiting for new trustees, if you would like to offer your support by joining our already amazing team of volunteers check out the application process on our website or via Reach Volunteering. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to Kam for an informal chat. See links below to find out more about the work we do and how to apply.
